Randy Adler
Randy Adler began his foray into the Nitro Coupe arena in 2003 testing his 1957 Chevy Bel-Air. He made his rookie debut on the Super Chevy Show circuit the following season in the Mickey Thompson Nitro Coupe Challenge. And what a first year it was! Adler took home the WorkMat Nitro Coupe Championship in only his first full season. In 2005 Adler continued his strong racing finishing second to Wayne Torkelson, Jr. in the season ending points race. The promise of the 2006 seemed dashed at the tour’s second event in Pomona, CA when Adler destroyed his ride. However, ever present crew chief Rob Adler and the rest of the A-Team racing crew had an ace in the hole. They had already ordered a new 2006 Pontiac GTO Nitro Coup. Randy powered the new door slammer to his second championship in three years. He finished the season in style by winning the season ending event at Gainesville Raceway, his third win of the season.
