The TREMEC True Street Challenge presented by Mr. Gasket will run at EVERY Super Chevy Show during the 2008 Season!
So how can you enter? All vehicles must be Chevy Bodied or Powered to enter. We allow any drive train or tire size. The main rules are as follows: The car must be D.O.T. approved, the driver must have a valid license, the car and driver must have insurance and the cars safety equipment (i.e.- headlights, turn signals, etc.) must be in working order to enter the TREMEC True Street Challenge presented by Mr. Gasket.
Once you purchase you entry - you will head to tech for inspection. After you pass inspection you will line up in a designated area (normally near the TREMEC Car Show Central Tent)for the road tour portion of the event to prove your cars street ability. After returning from a short road cruise (normally just a few short miles) you will line up in the staging lanes to make your three consecutive passes down the quarter-mile. YOU CANNOT OPEN YOUR HOOD, WORK ON YOUR CAR, REFUEL, or RECEIVE ANY ASSISTANCE FROM OUTSIDE SOURCES. All three runs will be averaged to determine the winner.
Results will be announced by 3:00 p.m. Awards will be given for the Winner, Runner-Up, and closest 10 second through 13 Index Averages. Contestants are also eligible for payouts!! Winner receives $200. Runner-Up receives $100. Index Winners receive $100.

In American motorsports, the word "sponsor" is probably one of the most frequently used words in our vocabulary. The concept of sponsorship is certainly not new, but in recent years, it has been a major factor that makes or breaks a race team, a Motorsport event, or even a sanctioning body.
At AutoStar Productions, Inc. producers of the Super Chevy Show, the concept is no different. Motorsports events are very expensive to produce. Reality tells us that someone needs to pay the bills. Participants don't want it to be them anymore than the spectators that attend the event. Fortunately for participants and spectators alike - sponsors help pay the bills. Sponsorship dollars help to purchase event insurance, print and electronic advertising, generate the race purse, buy the awesome trophies and winner jackets for the car show and race winners, and all of the other expenses that we incur on over our 2008 16-event schedule.

Hey, kids! Don't forget to attend the SoffSeal Youth America Program at every Super Chevy Show Event on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. Super Chevy Show Announcer - Jerry Daisey talks to kids about the importance of family, friends and education. Plus, you might get to meet some cool professional race car drivers like "The King of the Wheelstanders" - Bob Hall (pictured above). All kids in attendance will receive a special SoffSeal Youth America Back Pack filled with lots of great stuff!
