2007 BRACKET RACE INFORMATION

All ticket sales are at the gate.


All participant tickets are for the full event!

Car and Driver Drag Race (Bracket) - $60.00

Friday Test and Tune - $25.00 (Not at Maple Grove or Indianapolis)
(with purchase of Participant ticket, does not include Show N' Shine )

Bonus Race - $35.00 (Not at Maple Grove)
(with purchase of Participant ticket, does not include Show N' Shine)


Following are the general procedures and rules for the 2007 Super Chevy Show events. Weather, car counts, and local curfews and ordinances may alter our planned schedule of activities; your cooperation and understanding is appreciated.

AutoStar Productions is Not a sanctioning body. Each Host track is sanctioned by NHRA or IHRA, the tracks are required to abide by the rules and safety standards of either NHRA or IHRA. AutoStar Productions does not have a voice or control over any tech issues.

  1. Procharger Bracket One Brawl (slicks & electronics), Jegs Bracket Two Battle(slicks & no electronics),and D.O.T Street Fight (D.O.T. tires and mufflers) no electronics, open to all General Motors Models,(Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Cadillac and Saturn)Bodied or Powered.
  2. After purchasing your Bracket Race Ticket, take the ticket to the Tech Area to receive your Tech Card and for inspection. Please print legibly; all winner and magazine information is derived from what you write. A run dot will be issued after passing tech. Return to your pit area and wait for your class to be called to the staging area for timed runs (except Friday Test and Tune may be “open call”-see #13 below and listen to the P.A.)
  3. Make sure your class designation and car number are clearly written on the windshield, side glass on both sides of the vehicle, and rear window for easy identification. (Number issued by host track in tech).
  4. It is important to listen to the P.A. and/or AM/FM radio simul-broadcast at all times to be sure of hearing your class call.
  5. To minimize waiting time in the staging area, all timed runs are to be run in sessions according to class; you will not be allowed to enter the staging lanes unless your class has been called. When your class is called, proceed immediately to the numbered lanes assigned to your class. BE SURE TO HAVE YOUR RUN DOT.
  6. Upon completion of your timed run, return to your assigned pit area and wait for your next call to the staging area.
  7. Bracket eliminations will begin Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at most Super Chevy Show locations; No Sunday morning time trials. At Maple Grove Raceway elimination’s will begin Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
  8. At your convenience, present your ticket to the TREMEC Car Show Series registration tent during show hours to receive a participant dash plaque and Super Chevy Show decals.
    Please safeguard your ticket; you must have on your person to exit and re-enter the facility. Please stop at the ticket booth to receive your hand stamp.
  9. E.T. breaks and electronics issues are determined by the host tracks and may vary by event location; contact host track for specific guidelines as definitions vary by sanctioning body (NHRA or IHRA), divisions, and tracks.
    The following general guidelines are anticipated for the 2007 season: All brackets no computers or data recorders.
    Procharger Bracket 1 Brawl-electronics allowed.
    Jeg's Bracket 2 Battle
    D.O.T. Street Fight—no electronics.Mufflers and D.O.T. street tires required for D.O.T. Street Tire
    Slicks ok in Bracket One & Bracket Two.
  10. NHRA/IHRA and host track tech and safety rules apply. Host track staging and tree rules will also apply. It is your responsibility to check your dial-in; incorrect dial-in will not be cause for re-runs.
  11. Procharger Bracket One Brawl & Jeg's Bracket Two Battle will run 1/8 mile at Memphis Motorsports Park, Atlanta Dragway, Huntsville Dragway, and Bristol Dragway;
    D.O.T. Street Tire and professional feature shows will run ¼ mile except at Huntsville.
    At all other events- all classes run ¼ mile.
  12. An optional Friday Test and Tune (weather permitting) is offered at all Super Chevy Show locations except O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis and Maple Grove Raceway. Entry fee $25.00— Must be a weekend participant to enter(Show N' Shine Not Included). Staging lanes open 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. unless otherwise posted.
  13. An optional Saturday bonus race (weather permitting) will be offered at all Super Chevy Show locations except at Maple Grove Raceway. Entry fee $35- Must be entered a weekend participant to enter (Show N' Shine Not Included). At most locations, race will begin after two complete rounds of time trials.
  14. At Maple Grove Raceway, there will be a “Last Chance Race” on Sunday at 12:00 noon for racers eliminated during the 1st round Saturday afternoon and 2nd round Sunday morning. Newly-arriving racers may pay Sunday gate admittance of $22.00 plus Last Chance Race entry fee to participate- no time run. See Last Chance Race flyers available at gate or tech for specific entry fees and purses.
SCHEDULED TIMES FOR ELIMINATIONS WILL BE ANNOUNCED; HOWEVER, LISTENING TO THE P.A. and/or AM/FM RADIO BROADCAST AT ALL TIMES IS NECESSARY BECAUSE OF POSSIBLE CHANGES.

WORKING AUTOSTAR PRODUCTIONS, INC. AND TRACK STAFF NOT ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN Super Chevy Show BRACKET RACE PROGRAM.

  • Drag racing rules and technical requirements are based on specifications set by the Host track's sanctioning body (National Hot Rod Association or International Hot Rod Association) and/or local track rules.

NOTE: Due to insurance regulations, no motorized vehicles (including three- or four-wheelers, pit bikes, and/or golf carts) or bicycles permitted in the TREMEC Car Show or Performance & Restoration Marketplace Midway areas except for track or show support vehicles. Race Car support vehicles may move about the pits if on official race business (fuel/water runs, etc.) or when towing a race vehicle. Drivers must be at least 16 with valid driver’s license. No overloading of vehicles with passengers (in most cases, one permitted). Reckless driving or driving while intoxicated will not be tolerated. Violators found operating said vehicles in any unsafe manner whatsoever by show, host track, or law enforcement officials will be asked to leave the show.
